About us

Built on the belief that access should travel.

Cee4Bee began by bringing people, practical knowledge, and opportunity into the same room. That is still the idea — now with a wider Afro-Caribbean welcome and the same commitment to trust.

The founding story

2015

London, connection, and a practical response to unequal access.

It started with the doors that relationships can open.

Cee4Bee launched in summer 2015. Two young founders saw that talent alone did not guarantee access to the references, sponsors, mentors, coaches, affordable development, and wider experiences that can change a person’s prospects.

Their response was deliberately practical: create free places where people at different stages could meet, learn, exchange useful contacts, and make opportunity more visible within Black African communities in the UK.

Dotun Olaleye and Ayo Akande founded Cee4Bee, and the organisation has been carried forward since by volunteers, trustees, and the people who keep showing up.

The mission now

Improve life chances by making connection useful.

We connect Black African and wider Afro-Caribbean communities with mentoring, learning, opportunity, and practical support.

01

Connect with purpose

Relationships matter most when they make knowledge, confidence, or opportunity easier to reach.

02

Share what helps

Experience becomes more valuable when it is made available through mentoring, learning, and honest exchange.

03

Act on ambition

Community is not a passive idea: it is people using their time, access, and influence to move others forward.

Where we are going

Ten years in, and still building.

Our work spans networking events, mentoring, youth activity, webinars, and writing about opportunity. There is room for you in what comes next.
