Connecting! That Easy and Very Useful

The practical value of meeting people on purpose — and of actually following up afterwards.

Hearing that the Cee4Bee network has helped someone is the whole point of doing this. Here is one account, shared because it shows exactly how networking moves people towards what they are trying to do.

“I spoke with a man at the last Cee4Bee event on 9 April 2016 about starting my own thing. He knew someone building a business in line with my idea who was looking for people to join their team. We exchanged details and he connected me to that person.”

The attendee went on to describe meeting the new team, sharing ideas, and being asked to prepare a demonstration. In May, one of the team called to say they liked the proposal and wanted another meeting to discuss working together.

Helping someone can begin with a simple introduction, even between people who have never met. Results are rarely immediate, but a new relationship creates movement in the right direction. As another attendee put it: no one becomes great entirely on their own.

We wished the attendee well and thanked the person who made the referral. If something similar has happened to you, share it — the community learns from it. Our focus stays the same: keep creating practical, free opportunities for these connections to happen.
